- Leave it better.Leave everywhere better than you found it. Take care of the places you explore.
- Stay on the adventure.Treasures are hidden in easy-to-reach places, close to trails or public areas. No climbing, swimming or digging required.
- Respect the world around you.Follow posted rules. Never trespass, disturb private property, damage nature or move anything that doesn't belong to the quest.
- Share the love.Found one? Celebrate it, share the fun and let someone else discover the next.
- Young adventurers bring a grown-up.Explore safely, use good judgment and have fun.

One chest, one finder
Scan the QR code inside a chest and it's marked FOUND ✨. The chest and everything inside belongs to whoever found it.
Checking in a find
Scanning the QR code inside the chest is the whole check-in — there is no code to type. If a child finds a chest, an adult should handle anything that involves sharing a name or a photo. We never ask a child for personal information.
Public places only
Chests are hidden on public or clearly permitted property, in spots you can reach without climbing, digging, or leaving a path.
No purchase necessary
Hunting is free. Donations and sponsorships never affect who can play or who can find a chest.
Be kind out there
If you've already found one, leave the next for someone else. Share the fun, and leave every place better than you found it.
